Established in 2008, the Department is driven by a team of young and dedicated faculty engaged in both pure and applied sciences, with active interdisciplinary collaboration across engineering disciplines. It strives to promote excellence in teachin
and research, balancing theoretical knowledge with practical application.
The Department plays a vital role in building a strong foundation for engineering students by imparting core subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Professional Communication, and First-Year Engineering courses. These subjects form the backbone for all engineering branches and prepare students for higher studies and industry demands.
Special emphasis is given to Professional Communication to enhance students’ verbal and written skills. Mathematics remains fundamental across all engineering domains, while Physics and Chemistry support various disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Electronics Engineering.
The curriculum has been revised in line with NEP 2020 guidelines and is implemented from the academic year 2023–24. The examination pattern is 60:40.
