Importance: This laboratory caters to the needs of B. Tech (Civil) and M. Tech (Environmental Science and Technology) students. Undergraduate program includes courses related to Environmental Engineering I, Environmental Engineering II and Advanced Environmental Engineering. There are laboratory courses which include many experiments related to air, noise, water and wastewater testing and analysis.
It has an Atomic Spectrophotometer, which is used for the determination of Heavy metals from water and wastewater. A double beam UV spectrometer is useful in the determination of all kinds of Cations and Anions from water and wastewater.

The laboratory also has Direct reading B.O.D. monitoring system, a high volume sampler, a C.O.D. analyser, and other equipment which are required for testing and consultancy work.
